Several Sun City residents heard from others and also observed the fragile relationship we have with the wonderful nature that surrounds us. Questions arose concerning how we can live harmoniously with the wildlife and protect the flora of our desert environment. As a result, this core group of individuals formed the Nature Club with this Mission Statement:

The mission of the SCOV Nature Club is to increase awareness of the balance, sustainability and diversity of the natural environment within Sun City. We seek the peaceful coexistence between people and wildlife, using science-based educational programs to bring about this stewardship.

Our goal is to engage the community in a variety of programs and projects to enhance the protection of flora and fauna, hoping to keep wildlife as “wild” as possible given the restrictions we face as a neighborhood.
